Small Business Australia
Small Business Australia has purchased Knowledge Community software to service the needs of their members. Owners of small businesses will be able to discuss common issues online and join collective communities within their location, region or industry.

Aged Care & Health
Broadband for Seniors program (BFS), an NEC project, is being rolled out across Australia where Kiosks are being installed at Community Centres to teach the elderly how to use the Internet. As part of this program, Knowledge Community’s Aged Care software system is linked to provide an Aged Care portal containing a web site for each community as well as giving each person their own membership site. This includes their own diary record and ability to invite their children and grandchildren into the site.

The system provides medical alerts as well as linking the senior to their key carer and relative. They can be given permission to add appointments into the senior’s calendar as well as engaging in direct communication via Chat, SMS or email.
This pro-active program has been designed to reduce the incidents of loneliness, depression and medical mistakes all of which contribute to the high cost of aged care services.

Personal Health Diary
Acryn has created a Personal Health Diary (PHD) so that people living with issues such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Stroke, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis and others can record daily events and activities covering exercise, diet, test results, incidents and then produce a weekly or monthly chart highlighting their progress over that period. The chart could be printed out or emailed to the person’s medical practitioner.
This PHD record has also been integrated with the Australian e-health record allowing people the means to be able to give permission to the medical profession to be able to view their files and medical history.

At present Acryn is operating a pilot program to learn how this system will benefit people live and improve medical and personal health outcomes. It will allow these people to take key control of their own issue. As part of the pro-active drive it is anticipated that health costs would reduce over time.
